At-bat songs: Milwaukee Brewers

Page 3

There's reason to be excited about baseball in Milwaukee. The team currently boasts two All-Stars, is playing close to .500 ball and has a couple of U2 fans.

But what really gets the crowd going is when pitcher Brooks Kieschnick comes up to bat.

RHP Brooks Kieschnick "Cowboys Like Us" George Strait
Kieschnick was a former designated hitter on the Brewers when they were in the American League. After a few mediocre years, Kieschnick returned to the minors and picked up pitching. He is now one of the Brewers' stud relief pitchers. Despite being a pitcher, he gets regular pinch-hit duty and goes through an extensive stretching routine, reminiscent of Ichiro, in the on-deck circle while his at-bat song plays. From Texas, his song is "Cowboys Like Us" by George Strait ("Cowboys like us, sure do have fun ..."). It's a classic scene that drives the crowd nuts every time.
RHP Dan Kolb "Stand Alone" Godsmack
The Brewers music people give him respect by blasting the song full-volume as he comes in from the bullpen."
