Minnesota guard Rachel Banham will miss the rest of the 2014-15 season after suffering a torn ACL in her right knee in a game Wednesday, Gophers coach Marlene Stollings has announced. Banham, a senior All-American candidate, was averaging a team-high 18.6 points and 4.6 assists. She was shooting 42.6 percent from the field and also averaging 4.5 rebounds to help Minnesota get off to a 9-1 start this season. The 5-foot-9 combo guard was named the Big Ten preseason player of the year. Banham was also named an espnW preseason second-team All-American and landed at No. 5 in espnW's preseason countdown of the nation's top 25 players.
