TCU joins projected field

Despite Baylor's second consecutive road loss and Oregon State's convincing win over Cal on a busy Saturday, nothing changed among the top 16 seeds.

The same cannot be said for the other end of the field. Three of the last four teams in the tournament as of Thursday's update lost -- and each defeat would be considered a bad loss.

TCU was the big winner of the day. After a 20-point win over Kansas State, the Horned Frogs moved into the field. The Big 12, which is not the best league in the country despite its top RPI ranking, now projects to have seven teams in the field, something that didn't seem possible as recently as two weeks ago. The continued failings of the teams at the bottom of the at-large pool have benefited some Big 12 teams the most.

A look at the top 16 seeds through Saturday's games:

Greensboro: South Carolina, Florida State, Iowa, California

Albany: UConn, Louisville, Arizona State, Mississippi State

Oklahoma City: Notre Dame, Baylor, North Carolina, Stanford

Spokane: Tennessee, Maryland, Oregon State, Duke
