The Jacksonville Jaguars recently extended the contract of tight end George Wrighster, giving him a five-year, $7.5 million deal that will keep him with the team through the 2011 season.
With Kyle Brady becoming a free agent after the season, the extension shows the team's future at the tight end position is with Wrighster and this year's first-round pick, Marcedes Lewis.
To get the deal done, the Jaguars added $1.5 million to Wrighster's base salary this year, which acts almost like a signing bonus. Wrighster was a fourth-round draft pick in 2003.
