Dolphins, Beck reach agreement on 4-year contract

Dolphins second-round draft pick John Beck was able to clock in just in time for the start of rookie camp Monday.

Miami reached a four-year agreement with the quarterback in time for him to attend his Monday meetings and not miss a minute of rookie camp.

Beck, considered to be the Dolphins' quarterback of the future, signed a thee-year deal and an option that will give him $2.25 million in guaranteed money. The agreement was reached late Sunday night. Beck was in town and was in attendance for workouts Monday.

First-round pick Ted Ginn Jr. is Miami's last remaining unsigned rookie and the team is close to finalizing a deal with him. Miami veterans report Friday to camp at Davie, Fla.

Beck was the fourth second-round choice in the league to agree to a contract.
