Tennessee freshman lineman Charles Mosley was involved in an automobile accident Sunday while traveling with his family and underwent surgery later that night at a Memphis hospital to repair a broken tibia.
Mosley was in good condition and hopeful of being released from the hospital by the end of this week, according to Jimmy Stanton, Tennessee's associate athletic director for communications.
There's no definitive word on the recovery period for the 6-foot-5, 362-pound Mosley, who's from Brighton, Tenn.
According to the 2014 ESPN 300, Mosley was a three-star prospect, and the No. 43rd-ranked defensive tackle prospect. He signed last December and had offers from such schools as Alabama, Auburn and Georgia.
