Iowa sophomore quarterback C.J. Beathard made his first career start Saturday at Purdue.
Beathard replaced junior Jake Rudock, who had started Iowa's last 17 games. Last week, Beathard rallied Iowa from a 10-point deficit for a come-from-behind victory at Pittsburgh.
