Kent State-Buffalo game moved

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Mid-American Conference has tentatively rescheduled Buffalo's home football game against Kent State to Friday.

The decision was announced Thursday morning, a day after the game was postponed due to a severe lake-effect storm that has dumped more than 5 feet on the Buffalo region.

Kent State players and staff arrived in Buffalo in time for the game, but the team's equipment truck was stranded in the snow just south of Buffalo. Television information for the game, which was originally to be shown on ESPNU, is still to be announced.

The MAC also announced it has pushed back Kent State's season finale against Akron to Nov. 28. The game was initially scheduled for Tuesday, which would have left Kent State four days between games.

Buffalo (4-6, 2-4 MAC) and Kent State (1-9, 0-6) are already out of playoff contention. Buffalo closes its season at Massachusetts on Nov. 28.
