The UNLV Rebels have landed one of the top players in the Class of 2016. Canadian forward Justin Jackson (ESPN No. 26), a 6-foot-7 combo forward, has given Dave Rice and assistant coach Todd Simon an early verbal commitment, Findlay Prep coach Andy Johnson told ESPN.com. Jackson said he "felt a sense of family since the start of the recruiting process" and had built a close bond with Rice and Simon. "They are two great guys who had a strong interest in me, and that's what I was looking for," Jackson said. UNLV has yet to add anyone in the senior class, but Rice -- with the help of Simon, the former head coach at Findlay Prep -- added one of the top freshmen in the country this season with another Findlay Prep product: wing Rashad Vaughn. Simon also helped bring in transfer Cody Doolin (San Francisco). Information from ESPN.com's Paul Biancardi was used in this report.
