Four-star prospect Isaac Humphries has signed with Kentucky and will enroll at the university with the 2015 class.

Humphries, a 6-foot-11 Australian native who played at La Lumiere School in Indiana this past season, was ranked No. 49 in the 2016 class but has long been a candidate to move up and enroll in college early. He will arrive in Lexington on Saturday.

"I watched Isaac when he first came over to the United States in high school in Indiana and was impressed with his skill and size," Kentucky coach John Calipari said in a statement.

"He reminded me of a much bigger Josh Harrellson. He's very skilled, has great hands and is a great passer. To have a 7-footer who just turned 17, he has a lot still in front of him, and the best part is he wants the challenge of playing at Kentucky."

Humphries visited Kentucky earlier this month and chose the Wildcats over schools like Oregon, New Mexico, Wichita State and others.

Brad Johnstin, a former assistant coach at La Lumiere who helped Humphries throughout his recruitment, said, "The opportunity to play two years at Kentucky is something he couldn't pass up.

"The opportunity to play for Coach Cal and learn from him is invaluable."

Humphries' stock skyrocketed after last summer, when he averaged 18.9 points and 11.6 rebounds -- including 41 points and 19 rebounds against Canada -- at the FIBA U17 World Championships for Australia.

Kentucky finished the 2015 cycle with the No. 2 recruiting class in the country, but the addition of Humphries could close the gap with No. 1 class Duke. Humphries joins a class that includes elite prospect Skal Labissiere, five-star guards Isaiah Briscoe and Jamal Murray, four-star wing Charles Matthews and junior college shooter Mychal Mulder.

Kentucky has two commitments in the 2016 class, with ESPN 100 prospect Sacha Killeya-Jones announcing for the Wildcats on Wednesday. He joins New Zealand native Tai Wynyard.
