North Carolina opens 2016 class with five-star center Tony Bradley

Five-star center recruit Tony Bradley, the No. 26 player in the ESPN 100 class of 2016, told ESPN he will attend North Carolina.

"North Carolina has been the leader for a long time. On my official visit last season for the Duke game, I felt very comfortable with the coaching staff, players and the style of play," Bradley said.

The 6-foot-10, 230-pound true center from Bartow, Florida, picked the Tar Heels over Miami, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Florida State, Kansas, Florida and North Carolina State.

Bradley is a low-post scoring threat with great hands, touch and footwork. He can score over both shoulders and is an excellent area rebounder.

"North Carolina was on him early and stayed consistent. Tony loved the style of play because North Carolina throws the ball inside and his family really felt head coach Roy Williams will look after Tony," Bartow head coach Terrance McGriff said.

The five-star recruit is the first pledge for the Tar Heels in the class of 2016.
