Tony Romo misses practice after being treated for sty below left eye

OXNARD, Calif. -- Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo did not practice Friday after having a sty below his left eye treated earlier in the day.

Romo said Thursday it has bothered him for a little while, but he took part in Thursday's practice and was on the field for Friday's morning walkthrough. He will be re-evaluated Saturday to determine whether he's able to take part in the first full padded practice of camp.

With Romo out, Brandon Weeden is taking the first-team snaps.

Romo and the Cowboys have a plan in place to help take the stress off his surgically repaired back. Last year he did not take part in more than two straight practices, but he said he should practice more this summer.
