Andrew McCutchen just cut his dreadlocks for charity

Andrew McCutchen stands out on the diamond for a number of reasons -- his quick bat, his stellar defense, the time he got hit by Aroldis Chapman and shook it off like it wasn't the most painful thing ever. But visually, he's most noticeable because of his long dreadlocks.

Or at least he was.

McCutchen will donate his dreads to Pirates Charities, which will auction them off for a presumably large amount of money. Anyway, here's what the process of cutting his hair looked like:

Poor McCutchen. Now he has only the fact that he's one of the best players in baseball to fall back on.
