Brett Hundley injures left elbow

UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley left Saturday's 20-17 win against Texas in the first quarter with an injury to his left (non-throwing) elbow.

Sophomore Jerry Neuheisel took over at quarterback for the Bruins, and when the team came out after halftime, Hundley wore a headset and had a huge wrap around his left elbow.

Bruins coach Jim Mora said Hundley will be re-evaluated Sunday and will undergo an MRI.

Hundley was hurt at the end of an 11-yard run to convert a third-and-9 for UCLA with just under 5 minutes left in the first quarter.

As he was being tackled, Hundley put his left arm down and appeared to land awkwardly on it. He initially got up and started walking toward the sideline, before stopping short and sitting on the ground, prompting an injury timeout.

Hundley took a few snaps on the sideline before heading to the locker room with trainers.
