UConn lands transfer Shonn Miller

Men's College Basketball, Connecticut Huskies, Cornell Big Red

UConn has landed Cornell transfer Shonn Miller, who will be eligible this season for the Huskies.

Miller told ESPN he committed to UConn while on a visit Saturday.

"It just felt like home," Miller said. "I got along with all the players and everybody in general just welcomed me like I was a part of their family."

The 6-foot-7 Miller averaged 16.8 points and 8.5 rebounds for Cornell this past season and was one of the most coveted transfers on the market.

He also considered Marquette, Michigan, California and Illinois.

UConn did not make the NCAA tournament this past season, and the Huskies lose senior Ryan Boatright. However, coach Kevin Ollie returns talented wing Daniel Hamilton, big man Amida Brimah and also adds talented freshman point guard Jalen Adams and Miller.
