Wichita State lands Cleveland State graduate transfer Anton Grady

Wichita State has picked up a commitment from Cleveland State grad transfer Anton Grady.

Grady, a 6-foot-8 forward who averaged 14.3 points and 7.9 rebounds for the Vikings last season, told ESPN.com that he chose the Shockers over several high-major programs.

He will be eligible to play this season for Wichita State.

Gregg Marshall's Shockers return their backcourt of Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet. Wichita State loses starting big man Darius Carter, but Grady -- if healthy -- could provide a huge lift for a team that is expected to be the favorite to win the Missouri Valley again next season. Including high school, Grady had been plagued by knee injuries requiring three surgeries before remaining healthy throughout the 2014-15 season.
