Kentucky guard Tyler Ulis suffered a hyperextended right elbow in Friday's 84-63 victory against South Florida and is day to day, the school said.
The No. 1 Wildcats played the second half without Ulis, a starter averaging 14.2 points and 4.8 assists per game. He departed after being injured while fighting for a loose ball.
"He's in a sling,'' Kentucky coach John Calipari said after the team's HoopHall Miami Invitational win. "Let's hope.''
Kentucky hosts Illinois State on Monday.
