Asdrubal Cabrera (back) exits early

MINNEAPOLIS -- Cleveland Indians shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera left the game against the Minnesota Twins on Monday due to lower back spasms.

Cabrera played two innings before being taken out. Cabrera struck out in his only at-bat against Twins starter Kris Johnson. There was no word from the team on exactly how he was injured.

Chris Dickerson pinch hit for Cabrera in the top of the third inning and hit an RBI single. He filled in at center field in the bottom of the inning, with Mike Aviles shifting to shortstop.

The 28-year-old Cabrera has played in 94 of 99 games this season.
