Seattle Mariners leadoff hitter Austin Jackson was reinstated from the 15-day disabled list after Monday night's 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays and will join the team Tuesday.
The center fielder had been on the DL since May 4 with a sprained right ankle.
"From a physical point, he's ready," manager Lloyd McClendon said.
Jackson had a nine-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma. To make room on the roster, right-hander Danny Farquhar was optioned to Tacoma.
Jackson was injured in a loss at Houston when he stepped on pitcher Roberto Hernandez's foot at first base while running out a ground ball. He was batting .242 with two homers and four RBIs in 25 games.
