The 34-year-old right-hander was 1-1 with a 4.70 ERA in 33 relief appearances for the Atlanta Braves last season. Aardsma, who was selected by the Giants with the 22nd overall pick in the 2003 amateur draft, is 16-18 with 69 saves and a 4.27 ERA in 331 relief appearances in nine big league seasons with San Francisco (2004), the Chicago Cubs (2006), the Chicago White Sox (2007), Boston (2008), Seattle (2009-10), the New York Yankees (2012), the New York Mets (2013) and Atlanta (2015). He had Tommy John surgery in 2011. In addition, sources told TSN that the Blue Jays have also reached an agreement with right-hander Gavin Floyd, who is 72-72 with a 4.38 ERA over 12 major-league seasons. He pitched 13.1 innings in seven appearances over the final month of the 2015 season for the Cleveland Indians. The Associated Press contributed to this report.
