Playing at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, is an experience unlike any other, and Los Angeles Dodgers rookie outfielder Trayce Thompson -- the brother of Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson -- found that out Tuesday night.
Thompson rocketed an offering from Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Matt Moore, and the catwalk at the Trop did not let it come back down.
CRUSHED. Did the ball ever come down? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/Q1mzcTJTke

The Rays put in perspective just how rare Thompson's catwalk homer was.
Thompson's HR in the @Dodgers 2nd hit the C-ring (and hasn't come down). It's only the 6th fair ball to hit and lodge in a Trop catwalk.

Klay may have an NBA ring, but Trayce can say he hit a home run that never landed.
