NEW ORLEANS -- Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr said the team will send two plays involving Pelicans forward Dante Cunningham to the league for review.
Kerr presides over a 16-game win streak and the league's best record, but he's not happy with the way Cunningham swung his elbows in the proximity of Warriors players Sunday night.
One of those elbows caught Golden State small forward Harrison Barnes in the face, sending the swingman to the locker room, and eventually the dentist on Monday morning.
When asked if he had any issues with Cunningham swinging his elbows, Kerr responded, "Yes. And I had an issue with the elbow just before half, too."
Kerr continued with a breakdown of the footage, saying, "If you watch the play carefully, Cunningham just swings right down, makes no attempt to get the ball. He just clubs Draymond [Green].
"So, two plays that we'll send into the league. It's up to them if they want to do anything about it, but I didn't think either play was warranted. Let's put it that way."
As for Barnes, Kerr said: "Harrison's good, he's a tough kid. He has a couple chipped teeth and some stitches, and he has a nasal fracture. He has all kinds of stuff going on. He was ready to go in the third quarter. He's really, really tough."
The Warriors (21-2) won 128-122 in overtime.
Kerr believes Barnes will play against the Grizzlies on Tuesday, saying, "He wants to be out there. I'd be shocked if he doesn't play tomorrow."
