Hawks' Sefolosha (calf) out 6-8 weeks

NBA, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers

ATLANTA -- Hawks shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha will miss six to eight weeks after tests confirmed a right calf strain.

Sefolosha started Friday night's 105-99 win over the Portland Trail Blazers in place of injured forward DeMarre Carroll but lasted only two minutes before leaving with the calf injury.

Carroll and Shelvin Mack sat out Saturday's 91-85 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, which extended the Hawks' franchise-record winning streak to 19 games.

Carroll was also held out of Friday night's win with a left Achilles strain.

Mack, a backup point guard who has a left calf strain, missed his sixth straight game.

The winning streak has lifted the Hawks to the NBA's best record at 40-8.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
