After the Cleveland Cavaliers' Game 7 victory over the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, Cavs forward Richard Jefferson said he was going to retire.
Shortly after, Jefferson began to hedge, and on Wednesday he told TMZ Sports definitively, "I'm not retiring. I'm going to play a couple of more years."
When asked if he would re-sign with the Cavaliers, Jefferson said, "We'll see."
Jefferson, 36, averaged just 5.5 points per game in his first season with the Cavs, but played a key role in the Finals and started Game 3 in place of the injured Kevin Love. Jefferson will be a free agent this summer.
