Bengals hire Marcus Lewis to staff

CINCINNATI -- The Bengals added a defensive assistant coach Monday, hiring Marcus Lewis, the son of head coach Marvin Lewis.

Marcus Lewis will serve as the Bengals' defensive assistant/quality control coach.

He spent last fall in a similar capacity at the University of Cincinnati. There, he assisted the coaching staff by working with the defensive line and special teams, as well as with the Bearcats' own self-scouting and film breakdown efforts.

Marcus Lewis played at Indiana State as a linebacker, seeing action in 33 games between 2008 and 2011.
