TUCSON, Ariz. -- Former NFL and University of Arizona kicker Max Zendejas has pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage in connection with a restaurant space he leased from the Tucson school. Pima County prosecutors say the 50-year-old Zendejas could get up to two years in prison when he's sentenced Sept. 30. Zendejas opened a Mexican restaurant and bar called Zendejas 13 across the street from Arizona Stadium in 2010. The Arizona Attorney General's Office accused Zendejas of stripping the restaurant of a walk-in refrigerator, HVAC system, compressors, ceiling fans and kitchen sinks worth thousands of dollars after the business closed in 2013. Zendejas played for the Wildcats from 1982-85 and holds the school record for career points with 360. He spent three seasons in the NFL with Washington and Green Bay.
