Luke Joeckel suffers concussion

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars left tackle Luke Joeckel suffered a concussion during the first quarter of Sunday's home game against the Miami Dolphins and did not return.

Joeckel, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2013 draft, was replaced by undrafted rookie Josh Wells.

Joeckel had started every game for the Jaguars this season after missing the final 11 games of the 2013 season because of a broken ankle.

He is the team's third starter out of the lineup against the Dolphins. The Jaguars lost middle linebacker Paul Posluszny for the season to a torn pectoral injury and cornerback Alan Ball was inactive with a biceps injury.

The Jaguars lost to the Dolphins, 27-13.
