Jags hold WR Marqise Lee (knee) out of OTAs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Marqise Lee is being held out of voluntary organized team activity workouts because of a knee injury he suffered during an earlier part of the offseason program.

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said he's not sure whether Lee will participate in any of the 10 OTAs but hopes the second-year player from Southern California will be healthy in time for the mandatory minicamp June 16-18.

"He's more day-to-day, probably more week-to-week," Bradley said. "We're going to be smart with him and where he's at. I know he wants to get back here, but we're being smart with him. We'll see if he makes it back before the minicamp or not."

Lee, whom the Jaguars took with the 39th overall pick in 2014, has battled injuries throughout his short career. He missed most of OTAs in 2014 because of an ankle injury and missed three games early in the season because of a hamstring injury. He also dealt with a minor wrist injury during OTAs.

Lee finished his rookie season with 37 catches for 422 yards and one touchdown. It wasn't until after the Jaguars' bye week (Week 11) that he was able to make an impact. He was targeted 23 times and caught 13 passes for 141 yards in the first 10 weeks of the season but was targeted 41 times and caught 24 passes for 281 yards and one touchdown in the final six games.
