Chiefs cut Justin Cox following arrest for aggravated domestic assault

The Kansas City Chiefs released cornerback Justin Cox on Tuesday, one day after he was arrested in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, on charges of burglary of a residence, aggravated domestic assault and trespassing. Cox was being held in the Oktibbeha County jail. Bond was set at $40,433.

The Chiefs made no other statement.

Cox, who played in college at Mississippi State, was arrested in Mississippi in November on charges of aggravated domestic violence and burglary. Mississippi State suspended Cox for the final three games of the season. Those charges were later dropped.
