Firefighters rescue injured man on roof of Vikings' new stadium

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis firefighters rescued a person Wednesday morning who fell into a crevice on the roof of the Minnesota Vikings stadium that's under construction.

The Minneapolis Fire Department confirmed on its Twitter feed that the individual had been stabilized and transported to an area hospital with injuries. No other details were immediately available.

Firefighters had requested a rescue basket, ropes and cables to help rescue the individual, who was trapped.

Another individual was also taken to a hospital.

U.S. Bank Stadium is expected to open in fall 2016.
