Andre Ellington a game-time decision; Chris Johnson remains starter at RB

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington, who suffered a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in Week 1 and hasn't played since, will be a game-time decision Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

Ellington missed the past two games but was able to practice, albeit in limited fashion, all week.

"I feel good," Ellington said Friday. "I got better each day. Still not where I want to be but hopefully I feel good on game day and I'll be able to get out there."

With Ellington listed as questionable on the team's official injury report, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said Chris Johnson will remain the starter.

"Andre's not full speed enough to be a starter," Arians said.

Asked whether he thinks he'll play against the Rams, Ellington, who said he'll wear a brace on his right knee, was optimistic.

"I don't see why not," he said. "I'm going to be smart about it."
