Jags RT Brandon Linder out for season with torn labrum

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars right guard Brandon Linder has a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will undergo surgery and miss the rest of the season, the team announced Monday.

The Jaguars will place Linder on IR at some point this week.

He hurt his shoulder in the Jaguars' victory over Miami on Sept. 20, but he played with the injury against New England the following week. He did not play in the Jaguars' 16-13 loss to Indianapolis on Sunday.

Linder, the team's third-round draft pick in 2014, is the Jaguars' best offensive lineman. He started and played in 15 games as a rookie and started the first three games of this season. Linder is the second Jaguars starter on IR, joining first-round pick Dante Fowler Jr. (torn ACL).
