PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford had "some memory loss" after sustaining a concussion earlier this month and said Tuesday that his separated left shoulder could keep him from playing in Thursday's game against the Detroit Lions. "[The decision depends on] how it progresses from here to game time," Bradford said, "and whether myself and the coaches feel comfortable with me out there playing. It feels better today than it did yesterday. If it continues to progress, I'd like to be out there." Bradford said he was cleared by an independent neurologist a week after suffering the concussion on Nov. 15. It was the third concussion Bradford has experienced, he said. "I had some memory loss," Bradford said. "The symptoms I've had were similar to the ones I've had in the past, and I was able to recover from those."  Bradford was a limited participant in Monday's practice, which was the primary session devoted to game planning during the short workweek. Before Bradford was cleared in the concussion protocol, the Eagles weren't able to get a read on how much his shoulder injury is affecting him. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said Bradford "looked good" in Monday's practice. The Eagles had a walk-through practice Tuesday. On Wednesday, they will have a short practice session and travel to Detroit. "We won't learn any more today because today is a walk-through," Shurmur said. "I really don't know. We'll walk today. We'll see who's healthy and then we'll make that decision." In a conference call with Lions reporters Tuesday, Eagles coach Chip Kelly also confirmed that Bradford had been cleared from his concussion and said, "Sam feels good," but that no decision has been made on who will start at quarterback Thursday. Mark Sanchez will start if Bradford is not ready to play. Sanchez started Sunday's 45-17 loss to the Buccaneers and threw three interceptions in the game. Bradford said the Eagles' situation -- coming off consecutive home losses to Miami and Tampa Bay -- will factor into his decision. "We need this game about as bad as we've needed one all year," Bradford said. "I hope I'm out there." Running back Ryan Mathews, who also left the Miami game with a concussion, has not been cleared to return to practice, Shurmur said. "He's in the protocol still," Shurmur said. "He's in that process.
