EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Dolphins lost to the New York Jets for the second time this season, but that wasn't the main thing that got under Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill's skin Sunday night.
Tannehill was upset that Jets players -- led by safety Calvin Pryor -- celebrated Pryor's big hit that knocked Miami receiver Rishard Matthews out of the game in the first quarter. Tannehill threw a poor pass over the middle to Matthews, which led to Pryor's getting a free shot on the receiver.
After the hit, Pryor celebrated while doctors attended to Matthews, who didn't return to the game due to rib and chest injuries.
"I was worried about Rishard, but I heard some [teammates] talking about it on the sidelines," Tannehill said. "That's kind of a classless move to celebrate when a guy is injured. Obviously, it was a good hit, a clean hit. But to celebrate when a guy is down is a classless move."
Pryor took to Twitter later Sunday to respond to Tannehill's comments.

— Calvin Pryor III (@star_island25) November 30, 2015Jets linebacker Demario Davis responded that the Jets weren't celebrating the injury but were celebrating the play.
"I don't think it was a taunting type of move," he said. "That's not who we are. We're not going to taunt a person who's down. I think we were more excited about CP and the hit he had, so you had celebrating. You're not noticing a guy is down. You're more celebrating with your teammate. I know me and a couple of guys, when we saw he was down, we took a knee and prayed for him. So it wasn't taunting."
The Jets (6-5) won the game 38-20 to complete a season sweep over the Dolphins (4-6). Tannehill finished with 351 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
