The Nashville Predators have signed center Cody Hodgson to a one-year deal, worth $1.05 million, an NHL source confirmed to ESPN.com.
Hodgson was bought out by the Buffalo Sabres following a disappointing season in which he finished with just 13 points in 78 games.
However, he's just two years removed from a 20-goal season in 2013-14 and was the No. 10 overall pick in 2008 by the Vancouver Canucks.
In 289 career games, Hodgson has 61 goals and 73 assists and is a low-risk signing for a Predators team that has had success going this route in free agency in the past.
