Welcome to the CFB Vegas rankings, an attempt to rank the top teams in college football from a Vegas perspective. They are the composite power ratings of Bruce Marshall of The Gold Sheet, Phil Steele and ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI). One week into the season, three teams have separated from the field: Alabama, Florida State and Clemson. They were ranked in the top three in all three ratings systems. And it's no surprise which team tops the initial rankings. Note: All futures odds courtesy of the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.
1. Alabama Crimson Tide Defending champion Alabama is coming off a 52-6 rout of USC, and two of our three ranking systems put the Crimson Tide on top. FPI is the only holdout, as it ranks Alabama as the No. 2 team. The Tide's futures odds moved from 9-2 to 6-1 to win the College Football Playoff.
