Fans and media have long debated the best big-game coaches in college football. But what do the coaches think?
Insider posed the following question to 45 head coaches representing every Power 5 conference: If your team had one game to win, which current college coach, other than Alabama's Nick Saban, would you want calling the shots? (We felt the Saban caveat was necessary to prevent a voting landslide.)
We received a good scope of selections (and some bizarre ones). Full points were awarded for lone selections. Since some coaches picked two colleagues, half points were awarded in those instances. Coaches were allowed to pick themselves, and five of them did. For those who did not want their vote to be cast publicly, anonymity was allowed.
