One big question for every Western Conference team

The two teams that have the best claim on being recent dynasties play in the Western Conference, as does the club that scored the most goals in 2016-17 as well as the heir apparent to Sidney Crosby as the world's best player.

Now that dust has settled from the NHL draft and the free-agent frenzy, it's possible to take a clear look at each team's plans for the upcoming season. While some front offices appear to be taking greater risks than others, there's at least one big question for each team, as well as some metrics that can help provide a few answers.
