Phil Steele's teams projected to improve in 2015

Editor's note: This article was adapted from Phil Steele's college football preview magazine, which is available here.

Since I started developing my list projecting the most improved teams, there have been numerous examples of teams that have made major turnarounds. Last season, I tabbed TCU as the most improved team and the Frogs vaulted from 4-8 to 12-1, punctuated with a dominant bowl performance to finish No. 3 in the country. Which team could follow in the footsteps of the Horned Frogs in 2015? Here is my list of prime candidates:

1. Miami (FL) Hurricanes The Hurricanes finished with a disappointing 6-7 record last season, but they actually outgained conference opponents by a whopping 75.3 yards per game. With a talented QB returning in Brad Kaaya, solid talent across the board and a manageable ACC schedule, look for Miami to take a major leap forward under Al Golden in 2015.
