Rookie award winners for the 2015 fantasy baseball season

Fantasy, Fantasy MLB, MLB

The regular season is over. In a few weeks, we will crown a World Series champion and begin the process all over again. However, before we get to 2016, there are two mini-seasons in between.

Everyone loves the hot stove season. The time of year when anything can happen and everyone is a contender. But even before that is awards season. A time that is fun for a different reason. For a week, everyone is equally an expert and an idiot, depending on who wins what award. As we wrap up this season's coverage in this space, we will also hand out some awards to rookies deserving of such honors.

We will award six fictional prizes, covering tools for the five standard fantasy scoring categories for both hitting and pitching: Top hitter for average, top hitter for power (including RBIs), top runner (including steals and run scoring), top pitcher for strikeouts (and wins), top pitcher for the decimal stats (ERA and WHIP) and top reliever. The selection process was completely unscientific, but as has been the case with all of our lists, it is not solely rooted in statistics.

Without further ado, the 2015 fantasy prospect award winners:
