Brave new world for Maryland

Maryland Terrapins

2013-14: 25-13 (8-10)
In-conference offense: 1.03 points per possession (11th in ACC)
In-conference defense: 1.01 points per possession (3rd in ACC)

After 61 seasons in the ACC, the Maryland Terrapins are now active members of the Big Ten. These things are all fueled by football revenue of course, which makes this all the more awkward. What in the name of Lefty Driesell, John Lucas and Juan Dixon is Maryland doing in the Big Ten? We'll get used to it in time -- probably -- and when you think about all the tumult in the Terrapins' program right now, it's as good a time as any to move to a new circuit.
