It's a shame how a late-season collapse can mask the gains made by a program functioning at a high level. Last season, unheralded Iowa raced out to a 19-6 record and rose as high as No. 10 in the AP voting and, more importantly, to No. 4 in the KenPom.com rankings. Alas, Iowa dropped seven of its last eight games and its last four in a row, including a 13-point loss to Tennessee in a First Four matchup.
