Most overrated and underrated players from #NFLRANK

Every year, in conjunction with the release of the #NFLRANK rollout on ESPN.com, Football Outsiders has provided an audit of the list.

Once again, we're pointing out players in the top 100 who we feel were particularly overrated or underrated by the ESPN voters. Remember, of course, "overrated" does not mean "bad." A player might be overrated because he's one of the 40 or 50 best players in the NFL but not one of the top dozen. For example ...

OVERRATED

RB Adrian Peterson (No. 11)

Peterson was incredible in 2012. Nobody can argue with that. He was pretty darn good in 2013, as well. But now it's two years later, and Peterson is 30. They say Father Time is undefeated, and there's nobody he picks on more than running backs.

We used Football Outsiders' similarity scores to find the two-year spans most like Peterson's 2012 and 2013 seasons. Two of the spans in the top 10 came from recent players (Marshawn Lynch in 2012-2013 and LeSean McCoy in 2013-2014), but here's what the other eight players looked like two seasons later:
