Hartford beats Holy Cross 79-61

WORCESTER, Mass. -- Mark Nwakamma scored 29 points on 14-of-18 shooting, Yolonzo Moore II added 13 points, including three 3-pointers, and Hartford beat Holy Cross 79-61 on Tuesday night.

Corban Wroe had 10 assists and Hartford (6-4) outshot the Crusaders 61.1 percent to 37.3 percent, but were outrebounded 30-24.

Cullen Hamilton came off the bench to score 13 for Holy Cross (4-3), Malcom Miller added 12, Justin Burrell 10, and the Crusaders had 14 turnovers to six for Hartford.

The lead changed hands 11 times before Hartford took a 26-23 lead on a jumper by Nwakamma and pulled ahead 31-25 on a 7-2 run. Wroe hit a 3-pointer and Hartford led 35-29 at halftime. Holy Cross shot just 31 percent during the half.

Hartford opened the second half with an 11-2 run and the Hawks continued to pull away. Holy Cross gained ground on a 7-2 run, but couldn't get closer than 16.
