Lee's 28 lead Drexel to 61-59 win over Cornell
CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Damion Lee scored 24 of his 28 points in the second half as Drexel overcame a 14-point deficit to defeat Cornell 61-59 at the Charleston Classic on Sunday.
Lee and the Dragons (1-4) shot just 18.2 percent in the opening half and trailed 36-22 with 17 minutes to go. But Drexel followed with 19-5 run the next 9 minutes to tie the game. After the Big Red rebuilt its lead to 49-43, the Dragons answered with a 14-3 run to take the lead for good.
Cornell (2-4) drew within 60-59 on Shonn Miller's 3-pointer with 1.6 seconds left, but Drexel forward Mohamed Bah made a foul shot and purposely missed the second to run out the clock.
