New Hampshire edges Richmond 29-26

RICHMOND, Va. -- Nico Steriti capped a 15-play, 75-yard drive with a 2-yard touchdown run with 19 seconds left in the game and New Hampshire beat Richmond 29-26 in the Colonial Athletic Association opener for both teams Saturday.

The teams exchanged the lead throughout, and Seth Fisher ran for a 4-yard score to give Richmond (2-2) a 26-22 lead with 6:31 left to play. Vailas took over at quarterback for Sean Goldrich after the starter was injured on a 1-yard touchdown run that put New Hampshire up 22-19 with 10:59 left in the game.

Goldrich rushed for three scores and 87 yards, and threw for 212 yards. R.J. Harris caught eight passes for 119 yards.
