Harvard cruises past Princeton 49-7

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Conner Hempel threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns, ran for 52 and two scores, and Harvard beat Princeton 49-7 on Saturday.

Semar Smith added 124 yards on the ground, while Anthony Firkser and Andrew Fischer each finished with over 80 yards receiving for Harvard (6-0, 3-0 Ivy League), with Firkser hauling in a 42-yard touchdown catch.

The Crimson racked up 699 yards of total offense, and held a commanding 14-minute advantage in time of possession.

The Tigers (3-3, 2-1) did not get on the scoreboard until the 28 seconds left in the game, when Joe Rhattigan plunged in from two yards out. Connor Michelsen threw for 124 yards and Matt Costello added 63 yards receiving to lead the Princeton offense, who were held to just 244 total yards and 54 rushing.
