Kacsor leads Dayton past Georgetown 23-14

DAYTON, Ohio -- Connor Kacsor rushed 34 times for a school record 301 yards and scored a touchdown to help Dayton hold off Georgetown 23-14 on Saturday.

Kacsor broke Jermaine Bailey's single-game school rushing record of 251 set against Drake on Oct. 21, 2000. Kacsor's scoring play came from 43 yards out late in the second quarter to give Dayton (1-0) a 13-7 lead.

Will Bardo completed 19 of 33 passes for 176 yards for Dayton, who outgained the Hoyas 493 to 279.

Kyle Nolan threw for 179 yards for Georgetown (0-2). His 5-yard touchdown pass to Justin Hill pulled the Hoyas to within 20-14 with 14:07 left in the fourth quarter. But Dayton's William Will kicked a 31-yard field goal with 7:08 left for the final nine-point margin.
