Diamondbacks add Bryan Minniti as assistant GM

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks added Bryan Minniti as assistant general manager and Mike Russell as professional scouting coordinator Thursday.

Minniti spent the last five seasons as the Washington Nationals' assistant general manager. Russell worked on the Detroit Tigers' scouting staff since 2002.
