BERNIE'S BASH

The New York Yankees will retire the No. 51 worn by Bernie Williams and unveil his plaque in Monument Park before the night game vs. Texas. The Yankees will wear special patches on their hats to honor the longtime center fielder. The team plans to do the same for Jorge Posada and Andy Pettitte in August. That'll raise the club's total of retired numbers to 20, and Derek Jeter is sure to follow them.

STICKING AROUND

Stuck in a seven-game losing streak, the Reds figure to have their manager back in the dugout for the series finale at Cleveland. Skipper Bryan Price was ejected before the first pitch Saturday -- an argument started during the exchange of lineup cards, stemming from a dispute the previous night over the strike zone.

ACES UP

Michael Wacha and James Shields try to extend their unbeaten runs. Wacha takes a 6-0 mark into his start for the Cardinals at Kansas City. Shields is 5-0 in his first season with Padres, and will pitch at Dodger Stadium.

FIRST LOOK

Milwaukee pitcher Jimmy Nelson cheered for the Atlanta Braves while growing up in Niceville, Florida, and rooted for them while attending the University of Alabama. The 25-year-old righty will face them for the first time when the Brewers close out a four-game series at Turner Field.
